DANCE ON CAMERA
Now combining her wealth of knowledge, experience, and dynamic perspective of the dance world, Sarah Marie Picard is bringing an epic three-day dance intensive workshop and film making experience to the creative community.
Dance artists from all genres, renowned professionals to pre-professional artists in training, will be offered the opportunity to join a GLOBAL CREATIVE COMMUNITY and gain a comprehensive insight into the world of dance theatre and filmmaking. Artists are invited to dive deeply into all aspects of their creative selves, both known and unknown, giving them the ability to express and move in new and expansive ways.
The filmmaking experience will include 15+ hours of studio and on set in the study of:

Spaces are limited to 20 participants due to the nature of the workshop structure ensuring the most beneficial learning environment.

DIRECTOR
Director of Dance
Sarah Marie Picard is an American dancer, choreographer, actress, and painter. A graduate of the famed Tisch School For the Arts at NYU. Sarah Marie’s professional dance career has included appearances in Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance and ABC’s Once Upon a Time. Her flourishing career as a professional dancer has led her to tour extensively with various leading national and international dance companies and direct choreographed performances at venues such as The Joyce Theatre and Peridance. Together with being featured regularly as a guest choreographer at world renowned dance institutions such as STEPS and the Broadway Dance Center in New York.

Faculty - Dance, Jazz Funk
Holden Maples, Holden Maples is a professional dancer based in Los Angeles, celebrated for his versatility and captivating performances. He has worked with top artists such as Katy Perry, Bebe Rexha, Snow Wife, and Acraze, and his credits include The Masked Singer Season 12, the Hermès Parade: A Live Story of The Home Collection, NFL Shop campaigns, and PBS A Capitol Fourth with Alfonso Ribeiro and Britt Stewart. Holden has toured with Derek Hough in Symphony of Dance and Dance for the Holidays and performed at the American Music Awards.
Internationally, Holden has danced alongside Katy Perry at the VMAs for her Vanguard performance, the Rock in Rio Festival in Brazil, and the AFL Pre-game show in Australia. As a faculty member for Art of Movement Dance Convention, he shares his passion for dance worldwide, teaching in countries like New Zealand, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Canada.
Faculty - Dance, Choreography + Composition
Luca Renzi, Choreographer | Director | Composer of Motion
Luca Renzi is a choreographer and director whose work weaves together dance, architecture, and storytelling into a compelling artistic language. Born in Bern, Switzerland, and now based in Los Angeles, Luca earned a Master of Fine Arts in Dance Choreography from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. His approach combines precision, artistry, and curiosity, allowing him to craft performances that resonate with audiences and collaborators alike.
As an integral member of Mike Tyus & Co., Luca contributes as a director, creator, and performer, shaping innovative projects that expand the possibilities of contemporary dance. He was an original cast member of Life and Trust, the worlds largest immersive show, and has choreographed for renowned dance companies and academic institutions across the United States.
Luca’s next endeavor, in collaboration with Mike Tyus, is setting a new creation for Ballet de Avignon in France, blending their distinct artistic voices. A self-described “composer of motion,” Luca’s creative process is rooted in his fascination with architectural principles, using form, structure, and spatial dynamics to evoke emotion and meaning.
His methodology, The Choreographic Research LAB, is a nine-pillar philosophy that bridges movement and environment, inviting dancers andaudiences into a unique exploration of physical and spatial storytelling.
Faculty - Dance, Countertechnique
Arianna Hartanov, Born in Denver, CO, and trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, tap, and musical theater before moving to Santa Barbara in 2016 to dance professionally with State Street Ballet. She has performed various soloist and principal roles in The Nutcracker, Giselle, The Jungle Book, and The Sleeping Beauty among others. She has also had the pleasure of working with choreographers like Nilas Martins, Edgar Zendejas, Meredith Ventura, and Kassandra Taylor Knewberry in their creative processes during her career, and recently produced her first show in 2022 in collaboration with SELAH Dance Collective. Arianna became a certified Countertechnique instructor in 2023, under Anouk Van Dijk and Elita Cannata. Teaching regularly at State Street Ballet and LA Dance Project, Arianna enjoys pushing her own dancing and performance abilities everyday, in addition to teaching and sharing the joy of dance with her students.
